Links & Stuff
So I’m going to use this page as a bit of a “useful” links page, I like a good list so I’m going to do exactly that, make a list of some good links I frequent or just get good information and advice from.
They’ll be split into different categories so you can look at one that fits your needs! They aren’t in any particular order of preference, just ones that I remember!
Tech News
- https://stackoverflow.com – Most people know this one, one of the best message boards out there for tech related questions
- https://theregister.com – This one is more tech news than anything but it covers a broad range of subjects in that world
- I’ll add some more as time goes on…I generally just frequent some without thinking!
Gaming – Video or Otherwise
Gaming sites are one of those weird ones, some are pretty controversial for one reason or another, but these are the ones I generally look over.
- ign.com – Yes that one…I know it gets a bad rap, but the news in general is pretty good – just ignore the reviews…
- https://gamespot.com – Again, love it or hate it – the news it has is pretty spot on
- https://spikeybits.com – For anything Warhammer (40k or otherwise) related
- https://wahapedia.com – If you need a quick rules reference, this one is great
- https://gamingbible.com – Honestly I’m torn myself on this one, some of the news is pretty good, others not so much
Mental Health
So I’m going to make this section collapsible on purpose, I know some people (unfortunately) don’t care, but this will contain some links and resources for mental health related…stuff
Click Me to View
- https://samaritans.org – One of the top, if you need someone to listen to you talk with no judgement and completely anonymous, go here. You can call them on 116123 or if you want to email you can use jo@samaritans.org – but if you need urgent help – call them.
- https://anydsmanclub.co.uk – In the words of a close friend, “Men are cunts and don’t talk about their feelings” this group is proof otherwise and one that I hold close to my heart for literally saving my life
- https://mind.org.uk or more specifically: https://www.mind.org.uk/need-urgent-help/using-this-tool/ – like the Samaritans, if you need urgent help, go there and find out more than what I can provide.
